However it is not a child.
We live next door to a nursing home. A number of the nurses smoke. They are not allowed to smoke on nursing home property. So they cross over into our yard to smoke. When I see them, I take their pictures smoking in our yard, and in the dry leaves of the tree heavy land behind our house. Just in-case they set the place on fire, I want there to be evidence of what they are up to. BTW, I do not hide that I am taking their pictures. And when ever they see us outside (with or with out the camera) they imediately throw the cigarette down and head back to the nursing home or cross the street. This picture actually shows her at the barrel. She normally is not there, but at least if she sets it on fire, it is semi-contained. When we first moved in one of the nurses came to the door and asked if we mind if she stands out front of our driveway to smoke. We told her we would prefer that she not, as I am allergic to the smoke. It was nice of her to ask, we appreciate that. She is not one of the ones we have caught smoking here, she goes in the other direction in fact to have her smoke-break. I am pretty sure she passed on the word that we would prefer them not smoking here, but I suspect she is the only one with enough respect to care that it matters. To her I say, “Thanks!” As for the rest of them, I am sorely tempted to collect all their cigarette butts in a bag and take them and pictures of the ladies smoking on our land to the managers/owners and ask them to take care of the issue.
