It is like special ordering a doiley to be used on a specific chair and then not using it. Oh? Well, I guess it isn’t like that at all, it is that. This is mostly meant to see if she is reading this site. And to show off my handiwork, that never was used for its intended purpose.

What happens in bed…
When we started this blog, I promised that I would never post about what happens in bed.
Today, I’m breaking that promise.
This has been a busy work week for me, and I’ve been up very late solving problems and doing the general geeky stuff that I do. Last night, I didn’t get to bed until around 3:00AM. Marcia had gone to bed around 11:00.
I had turned on the hall light, not wanting to disturb Marcia, and was quietly changing into my pajamas, when she started laughing. Loudly. Hysterically.
At first I wondered if I had a hole in my pants or something, but when I looked over at her, I could tell she was completely asleep. I have heard of people talking in their sleep (indeed, I have heard you-know-who talking in her sleep), but laughing so uncontrollably in her sleep is a new one.
I had to try: “Honey, what’s so funny?”
Another outburst of laughter, and then she rolled over and it was over.
I never did find out what was so funny, but at least she was happy.
Happiness Is Homemade
Today is the day we put Rick and Ginny’s wedding announcements together. They are cute. She is glad though that we only get married one time! Too much work. For one day, perhaps I am projecting my latent Wedding preparation stress onto her. If she is lucky that is all there is to it. I don’t know, Ginny, is it stressful?
Also, I made the tart things again, I think they are good, but I will never loose weight if I keep making yummy foods. Ronda made cookies and Gavyn made brownies. We discovered that G2 and G3 are allergic to peanut butter cookies. A bit of Benedryl and the hives and rash go away. At least Gavyn can still have peanut butter.
Pictures coming if I get some from Ronda, I forgot my camera.
How Shocking
Tonight we had the missionaries over for dinner and we invited our friend John over who we haven’t seen in over a year. It was nice to have him over and visit.
Jacob made fettuccine from scratch and Alfredo sauce too. I made white chocolate mousse tarts with strawberries for dessert. (The same kind from New Years, only a different shell) Sadly enough, no pictures, again.
After we ate, the missionaries shared a message and left. We then went and picked up Emily and the four of us went bowling. It was a lot of fun, even if that alley hates me! we got ice cream and went back to out house and played life. I believe I won (notice I didn’t mention my score in bowling-again, that alley hates me).
However the best part of the evening had to be John’s zapper thing. Which he used many times to shock Emily.
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Today we drove to St Louis to take Erin back to the airport. We will miss her and hope she has a great semester. After we dropped her off we went to find the Panera Bread Company and The Viking Store that we found on our honeymoon. So we took Karen to see the cool store and while there found The Container Store, the ultimate OCD enabler. And amazingly enough the weather was pretty good.
Also, yesterday our friend Evan did a photo shoot for us (Jacob’s family).
All Caught Up Or Information Overload
I have been keeping a list of things I needed to post about, and the location of pictures to go with said posts for a long time now. Today I finished posting them. Now I can get back to a regular routine of posting. That means on Monday the Quiz is back!!!!
Today we got a Christmas 2006 card in the mail, from Kansas. I love you! This brought back fond memories. Thank you for the card.
Dishwashers Are Our Friends
Today I went to the store to get groceries and I needed more deodorant. While I was in the deodorant aisle, a family passed though. The little girl, probably about 4 years old** said, “Daddy I need new deodorant!” he said she has some already, and she answered, “Yes, but it is dry.” I am not too sure what thy are teaching her, but I want to put on dry deodorant. I figured that was part of the purpose. Besides why does a 4-6 year old need deodorant?

**I’ll give her the benefit of doubt, she may have been 6.
2008, Gotta Remember The Date
Mother nature decided to usher in the new year with bad snow, yet again. It took us almost two hours to get from Macomb to Danville. When we finally got there we celebrated Geneva and Gretchyn turning one! They have come such a long way.
After the girls ate cake** and opened presents, we were finally able to end Christmas by giving our last presents to Rob, Katilyn, and Lydia. Because of weather they arrived after everyone else had left.
Lydia was so excited to hold Gretchyn and look at the “little” person!
Do you think these noses are related?

And Jacob Thinks I Am Weird
Today after church we went to my mom’s for Christmas party number 1015**. But too much Christmas makes you weird.

**OK, that is an exaggeration, but who is counting?
Wedding Bells Are Ringing
Karen was hired to take wedding photos for a young couple. I went as her assistant. The day started out cold but no wind**. By the time the wedding was over the wind was blowing hard***. We got some pretty good shots. I hope they are pleased with the results. I saw six brides today, and I understand that there were more before we got there.
The snow was crazy again today. It is days like this that make me wonder why Al Gore invented global warming, and why doesn’t it seem to work? It was anything but warm today.
Three of today’s brides.

**So it was relatively nice.
***That was not so nice.
